Amboy

While looking for locations for Leisure Cruise, we came across this wonderful run down stop off point on Route 66. It was dependant on the trains to bring all the water, but this had stopped, making it hard to survive in this dry spot on the edge of a big salt pan under the California sun. The motel was closed, but you could still get gas, and a root beer in the diner.
